The Inherent Violence of the White-Bodied American

White people mechanize violence at all times except when calling for political change–then they leave polite messages on the voicemail boxes of their congressperson.

The training of white people has included a profound neutering of deeply held spiritual health.

White people have a penchant for terrorism

-white supremacy is a compelling fantasy on which to build a home

-Donald Trump is a terrorist because he was denied the things he wants

-white people live in a world built on their wants and needs, and confuse the two….whereas other people are living in a world in which their needs are ignored. But white people build all the things that provide things to everyone.

White-bodied people are far away from the first step on the path: we will need to look to and ask for counsel from our elders in organizing, members of the Black community. Modern day behemoths like Brittney Packnett Cunningham, Imani Barbarin, Adrienne Maree Brown, Robert Jones Jr. , Lady Speech Sankofa, are modern day elders who white-bodied people need to protect and respect.

White supremacy is a compelling fantasy on which to build a home. A person can never be white, which is why building your life believing what you have is a product of individualism and not a product of the systemic exclusion and destruction of Black and brown bodies is about as precarious as marrying a person who cheated on you throughout your dating life.

There’s something wrong with white people: walking onto a former plantation should twist the guts of a person fully in touch with their humanity--white people's guts twist without their knowing it, and it corrupts the mind.
